~Jacob M., – Student April 2024

“The Teachers at Learning in Motion showed me how to recognize the different types of questions that are given on the ACT. I was able to improve my score because I no longer had to read, re-read and then read again the same question. I was able to recognize what the question was asking right away and then decide on the right answer. Not having to worry about the time allowed me to focus on the right answers which turned a 23 to a 29! Thank You!”- Jacob M.   (future engineer and UCF student)

~Michelle M., – Parent April 2024

“The tutoring at Learning In Motion is superior. My son went from a 23 on his ACT to a 29 earning him a Bright Futures 100% scholarship! Need I say more? I couldn’t be more pleased with the outcome and it is well worth the price”- Michelle M.

~Jake A., – Student September 2023

“I had strong test scores before going to see Ms. Cammie, but I knew I could do better. Using the test taking strategies and time management skills she taught me, I was able to boost my score even higher than my goal.”  Jake A.

Thank you, Cammie

~Jessica A., – Parent September 2023

When my son wanted to improve his ACT score we contacted Mrs. Cammie for help. During the initial consultation we determined which test suited my son best and she explained the process of the sessions were to introduce strategies, processes and time management. With her help, my son scored higher than he had originally set out to. I highly recommend Mrs. Cammie and the ACT review sessions.

˘Good afternoon Cammie, I wanted to email you to give you Gray’s latest ACT scores. He went from an 18 to a 28! When we decided to give Learning in Motion a try during his junior year, our hope was to improve his score by 4-5 points. Never did we strive for a jump like this. Thank you for taking the time to help Gray and give him the confidence and techniques to try again. You pushed him and didn’t sugar coat what needed to be done by him if he wanted to improve his score.
Sincerely,
Amy P.

Many thanks for helping my daughter Caroline. When she started the third grade, she was still reading at a kindergarten level. My daughter had no self-confidence and did not like to go to school. She did not believe in herself and this made me so very sad for her. Her godmother suggested Learning In Motion Tutoring and offered to pay for my daughter to attend private tutoring sessions. When Caroline started, she was still unable to read. At the beginning, Ms. Cammie and her tutor Ms. Yasmin did everything they could to motivate her, but the academic challenge of learning to read was a scary one for Caroline. After the first 3 to 4 months, I began to notice a big difference in my daughter. But Caroline, herself, could still not recognize her progress. Ms. Cammie and Ms. Yasmin gave me suggestions on how to support and help Caroline with her reading at home. With consistent tutoring over a period of 7 months and the dedication of Caroline’s tutor, Ms Yasmín, Caroline is now reading fluently and she is so very happy. She is a different child all together. Just last week they called me from her school. I was afraid to meet with the teacher because, as was always the case in the past, I expected the teacher would have bad news. Instead, the teacher shared that Caroline will be moving on to fourth grade and that she has been scoring 100s and never less than 85 on her schoolwork. This was such a wonderful and proud moment for me and for Caroline. I thank Ms Yasmín (and Learning in Motion Tutoring)for helping my daughter become a confident and successful reader who now loves school and even prides herself in helping her classmates! Caroline now believes in herself and is confident that she can achieve anything she sets out to do. Many thanks from the bottom of my heart! Elvia J.

My son has always struggled with reading and was a year behind grade level. After just a few months with Learning in Motion, his confidence and level in reading increased tremendously. I’m thrilled that he now loves reading. We were so impressed with the confidence and skills he is learning with his tutor Ms. Kathy. I can’t recommend Cammie and her company highly enough. Tia

Hello Mrs. Cammie. I reached my goal of a 25 as a super-score! Thank you for helping me reach my Bright Futures goal. I really appreciate all of the positive energy and thoughts, but most importantly, the recipes and tools you taught me. You guys are the best team of tutors out there!

~Kristen D., – High School Student June 2022

Hello Ms. McKenzie,
I know you have heard of the amazing news about my ACT! I am so thankful for the tutoring sessions I was provided with Learning In Motion. I am very glad I made the choice to go there as it brought me up the perfect amount of points I needed! I will be sure to recommend you to others!
Thank you again, Kristin D.

~Parent, June 2022

From the moment we called and then had our first strategy session, we knew we were in the right place! Cammie is so passionate about helping students and it shows in her connection with the students as well as her outgoing personality to connect with them. The first strategy session confirmed to us that they were very capable to give us the tools and tutoring required for my daughter. My daughter only had time for 4 tutoring sessions and in that short amount of time, it made the difference we needed! I would (and have) recommended Learning in Motion to so many other Moms. It’s the place to go if you need a little or you need a lot. They care about what they do and they make it engaging for the students. Thank You so much, Cammie, for your investment in my daughter. It made the difference we needed!!!

~Courtney, – Student May 2022

I started math tutoring last year, and hated going. I dreaded every minute of it, and I was failing math badly. As I kept going I noticed I was putting more effort into my homework, quizzes, and tests. Soon, I started passing. My grade has improved so much from the first to the last class I have taken at Learning in Motion. I’m very thankful for the patient and wonderful people that have helped me here.

~Will S., – Student March 2022

Hey Mrs. Cammie, I know it has been awhile since the last time we talked so I wanted to update you in a few things. First of all, I want to thank you for all the time you spent with me in order to help improve both my SAT and ACT scores. Upon submission of college applications I had a 28 on my ACT and a 1320 SAT. I applied to Auburn, Clemson, High Point University, UNC, UF, and UCF. When we first started tutoring I told you my top two were Clemson and the University of Florida. I am very happy to say that I was accepted to both of these along with most others. With that being said I will be going to UF and can’t thank you enough for everything you did for me! Will S.

~Gina, -Mother of High School Student February 2021

My high school son has been taking virtual classes all semester and tutoring with Learning in Motion Private Tutoring four days a week.Having the support and structure of the tutors has been an absolute dream! Knowing that he is learning the material while not being face to face with teachers and that all of his assignments are being turned in on time is so wonderful. Tutoring is helping my son stay on track academically so when he makes his transition back to the classroom next year I know he will not be behind. Ms. Helen and Ms. Amey have been so helpful and knowledgeable.Working with Cammie McKenzie, the owner of Learning in Motion and all of the other tutors has been such a pleasure. Having them coach our child academically has taken a pressure off of us as parents. We will also be returning for ACT/SAT test prep as he prepares for college. Knowing that there is support out there as we prepare for our son’s future is so important!

I recommend Learning in Motion Tutoring to anyone who is looking for academic assistance! You will not be disappointed!

~Denise R., January 2020

“Cammie is extremely knowledgeable and develops a plan which is best for your child. Her team of tutors are excellent at helping to determine your child’s strengths and weaknesses and giving them the skills they need to do their best. Our daughter had never felt more confident when taking the SAT, this confidence along with the skills she was taught, allowed her to achieve her Bright Futures goal. We couldn’t be more pleased with Learning in Motion.

~Erin, -Student

Learning in Motion has been the most helpful place I have ever been to. When I first started attending I did not believe Ms.McKenzie when she said: “It’s a journey.” Throughout my time there I finally understood her because I have taken the test five times to receive the score that I wanted. Through the help of Ms. Amey and Ms. Mary, I was able to raise my scores 150 points. I really loved coming to classes because they make the environment of the tutoring light. I was excited every time I had to go to lessons and the teachers were equally. I would recommend Learning in Motion to everyone because of all the help I received from them.

~Erin’s Mom

What can I say, it’s been an exciting journey! I’m a mom of a child that has trouble taking tests. On the first day, I met Ms. McKenzie to look at Erin’s prior SAT scores she felt pretty confident that Learn In Motion could teach Erin tips and tools that would make her successful in achieving her test scores. Ms. McKenzie advised that it wouldn’t happen immediately and that it would “be a journey.” So we embarked on the journey with Erin taking 3 sessions of verbal and 3 sessions of math. The big day arrived, SAT, on August 24th and her test scores increased from 1020 to 1080, but Erin wanted a score of 1170. (1170 would give her a 75% Bright Future Scholarship). I asked Erin if she wanted to take some additional sessions and Erin went back to Learning in Motion and took 2 more verbal sessions and 2 math sessions. Once again she took her SAT test and scored 1130, but not the 1170 she wanted. Ms. McKenzie again reminded us that it would be a journey. So once again, Erin decided to engage in 2 more verbal sessions and 2 more math sessions. Her testing date was November 2. We waited anxiously for the test results all the time I’m telling myself it is a journey. Erin made it! She will have a 75% Bright Futures Scholarship in the fall. Once again I need to remind you that she is not a strong test taker and so just achieving this accomplishment is huge. I can’t thank Ms. Amy, Mr. Norm and Ms. Mary for devoting their time each week to ensure Erin had the tools and tips to meet this goal. I want to thank Ms. McKenzie for always finding a slot in their schedules for Erin. If you want a place where your child can receive individualized tutoring, in a friendly safe environment, then I would highly recommend Learning in Motion.

~Danielle O., – Mother of FSW collegiate Senior

By coming to Learning in Motion, we learned there are gaps in my daughter’s  education that, with every session, have been addressed. I know every session she takes will set her up for college next year. We couldn’t be happier with her 90 point improvement on her SAT exam! Cammie and all the staff truly care, love educating the youth, and one can definitely feel it.

~Soledad G., –Mother of Bishop Verot Senior

I was lucky to find Learning in Motion for my son Martin, during testing preparations. He had a tremendous experience with all the teachers who worked with him. Not only were they extremely well prepared, but also kind and strict at the same time. He finished with a very good score, and gained confidence throughout his journey. It was a pleasure working with Cammie McKenzie, she was easy to get in touch with and provided continuous feedback after review sessions. Thanks Learning in Motion!

~Sarah C., Parent of High School Graduate

Learning in Motion has provided my son skills that a typical classroom did not. My son was not proficient at mathematics. The staff and tutors were friendly, knowledgeable, and relatable. The experience of working one-on-one gave him a chance to better understand the material and practice until he became confident and proficient. He grew into someone who was not afraid to ask for help to reach his potential. He was comfortable during his sessions and had the opportunity to be around many great people, which he holds near and dear to his heart. Through his experience at Learning in Motion, not only did my son become proficient at mathematics, he was able to strengthen his abilities, and set further goals for his education and life.

~Diane T., Mom of a High School Graduate

Learning in Motion works miracles and I am forever grateful!

My son was in first grade and had already spent 3 years struggling in language arts during his early grades at a private school. He was diagnosed with dysgraphia and a few other language processing problems.  Two child psychologists told us they weren’t optimistic that he would be able to perform on an average or better than average level in language arts. The school disagreed, felt there was hope and recommended Learning in Motion.  Experienced and talented tutors at Learning in Motion worked closely with the teachers and the school’s curriculum. My son began with 3 hours of tutoring per week and he quickly progressed with his reading and writing skills.

As my son continued his education, I trusted and followed the recommendations presented to me by Learning in Motion.  Today, my son is a brilliant math and engineering student who graduated from high school with competitive grades in all subject areas. He recently prepared with Learning in Motion for the ACT test and scored a perfect 36 in reading.

It takes time, perseverance and the right tutors! Learning in Motion tutors have years of experience educating children with learning disabilities and have an impeccable track record. My son is the proof of their abilities and I am forever grateful!

~Madi V., Student

Learning in Motion has the nicest people who are always willing to help you in any academic field. They helped me raise my ACT score to where I have an amazing chance to get into the university of my dreams! They were always willing to work around my busy schedule and everyone is super nice! I have recommended them to my friends, and they love it as well.

~R.Trenton M., High School Student

Learning in Motion helped me develop myself academically and helped me get into the college of my dreams.

They worked around my busy sports schedule, and were always happy to help.

Thanks to them I was able to receive a Military Scholarship.

Thanks Learning in Motion for helping me.

~Melodee M., R. Trenton’s Mother

I also want to say to you that Trenton took the SAT’s once and he made one college application to the school of his first choice.

He was told verbally in April of his Junior year of High School by the Director of Admissions at the college that he was accepted!

While other Seniors were retaking the standardized tests and sending out multiple applications, Trenton was done and was able to enjoy his Senior year experience without any of the stress that one normally experiences.

Although I realize his experience is not typical, I also know that were it not for Learning In Motion, he would not have been as successful as he was!

Thank you for all your help and for your flexibility with scheduling and for pairing the right tutors up with each student.

~Jackie M., Mom of a High School Senior

We knew our son needed individual help with his SAT after he received his first test results. Our son was not a good test-taker, nor did he know how to study for such a test. Cammie McKenzie and her wonderful set of tutors made our stress level decrease and the tutoring worked! Our son finally feels confident and he found the missing piece of the puzzle. We are so grateful and our son did succeed!

~Charlie M., High School Senior

I never knew how to prepare for a college entrance test. I was so overwhelmed after my first SAT test. After I started to work with Miss Laura and Miss Mary, I began to feel confident and they always cheered me on. Miss Laura taught me how to breakdown a reading section and Miss Mary always gave me new ideas for working through each math problem. When I took the SAT for the 3rd time, it made sense and it clicked. I could not have done it without Miss Laura and Miss Mary. Thank you!

~Melissa S., High School Senior

Zachary called me and was very excited to tell me. Thank you for EVERYTHING you and your staff have done!!! It has been worth every penny!!! I will definitely recommend you to everyone I know who is going through this with their kids.

What you and your staff are doing for him is amazing. To have him actually excited about going to a tutoring session and just as excited if not more about taking another ACT test, there are not enough words, and I cannot be grateful enough for everything.

Thank you, thank you, thank you!!!!!!

~Raj S., Senior at Loomis Chaffee School, Ct.

Learning in motion has helped me realize my full potential in studying for the SAT. With plenty of practice, Cammie and Norm have helped raise my score by over 150 points in each section. I don’t know where I would be without them!

Learning in Motion helped me outline a strategy for success and made the test-taking process manageable.
Cammie and Norm worked at my pace and gave me the confidence I needed to take the SAT and the ACT.

~Melissa, Student’s Parent:

Hi Cammie,
I wish I could tell you the change in Amelia in just the short period of time since she started with you. She kept me up last night reading until I finally told her I had to get some sleep. It was 11:00 pm. She has blown me away with what she is tackling, and her enthusiasm and pride is what swells my heart. She loves going to see you guys and asks me at least ten times a day when she will go to her tutor again. I look forward to building on this relationship and continuing to build up a little girl who was knocked pretty far down over the past year. Those sessions you attached are perfect. We’ll see you on Monday.

~Lisa, High School Student’s Parent:

Well, I just have to tell you that Joey is completely over the moon with his reading and writing scores from his May 4th SAT exam. He got a 660 in reading and a 570 in writing. He wanted me to tell you that you’re the best! He said, “She’ll be really happy Mom.”

Thank you so much Cammie.

~Sam, High School Student:

Ms. Mackenzie pushed me to realize my full potential. She took my already high  ACT score and helped me make it stellar, improving it by 4 points, greatly increasing my chances of gaining admission to a top college. I doubt I could have made such a drastic improvement on my own.

~Christian, High School Student:

Learning in Motion has helped me improve my reading comprehension, writing and math problem solving skills. I feel especially confident with my time management skills when it comes to test taking. Learning in Motion has built skills in me that I will use throughout my life. Thank you, Learning in Motion, I am now past the FCAT and moving forward to better things!

~Robin, High School Parent:

Thank goodness for Learning in Motion! They brought my son’s reading score to where it should be and built such a rapport with him that he felt safe to ask questions and make mistakes. With regard to preparing for college entrance exams, they honed in on his strengths so he would shine in those areas and brought up his weaknesses as well. I appreciate all their efforts and hard work. Your kindness and nurturing nature make us feel like family!

~Dillon B., High School Student:

I have been going to Learning in Motion for a little over 4 months now and overall I’ve had a great experience! Every time I go, the staff welcomes me with open arms and makes me feel comfortable there. Also they are very patient while tutoring me, I have never been that good at math and struggle to grasp some concepts of it. But they are always patient with me and we stick with it until I understand it. Not only have I had great experiences while learning there, but my math grade has gone up a whole letter grade! Thanks for everything!

~Dianne Scheri, R.N., Adult Education Student at Edison State College:

~Kyle T., High School Student:

“With the help of Learning in Motion’s math tutor, my ACT math score increased five points. My tutor quickly identified my specific areas of weakness and helped me hone those skills. In addition, he taught me how to pace myself during the test and gave great advice about when to skip and when to finish a challenging problem. I definitely saw results in my test scores!”

~Jane T., High School Parent:

“I couldn’t be more pleased with the results of my son’s tutoring sessions as he prepared for the ACT. Not only did the tutor enhance my child’s knowledge base, he also shared valuable test-taking tips and gave him the confidence he needed to perform well on test day. I would highly recommend Learning in Motion’s services to any high school student prepping for standardized tests.”

~Grace D.:

“I would like to thank you so much for helping me this year! It went by so fast and I can hardly believe I’m going to high school. I am taking mostly honors classes! I also wanted to mention that I got all A’s as final grades in every single subject! I can’t believe I accomplished this and thank you for encouraging me to do my best. Thank you soooo much.”

~Judy C.:

“I have sent both my children to Learning In Motion for tutoring. My son was tutored for the ACT and my daughter was tutored for the SAT. The tutors there were professional and extremely knowledgeable with college entrance exams. They gave me detailed info on what they were concentrating on and the progress my children were making. My daughter’s score improved by a 150 points after her tutoring! Both my children ended up qualifying for the highest bright futures scholarship due to their scores. I am so incredibly happy with the help they received. I highly recommend Cammie McKenzie and Learning in Motion!
